Verlon Maxine Lewis was born January 16, 1927, in Tulsa, Oklahoma, to Herman Bryan and Clara Minnie Hanoch Robinson. She died Wednesday, April 7, 2021, in Tulsa at the age of 94 years. Verlon completed her secondary education in Tulsa and was a graduate of Central High School. She was married April 25, 1947, in Tulsa, to Harold Franklin Lewis. Verlon spent most of her working life caring for children. She had a home day care for 64 years and cared for many children. She was strong in her Christian faith and was a longtime faithful member of the Turley United Methodist Church. She loved her church family and serving her church. Her own family was most important to her, especially the grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchild who affectionately knew her as “Grandma Verlon” and “Memaw”.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Harold Lewis, son -in-law, Bill Crossman, five brothers, four sister-in-laws, great granddaughter, Kalley and nieces.
Memorial service will be Saturday, April 17 at 2:00 p.m. at Turley United Methodist Church. Arrangements and services were entrusted to Mowery Funeral Service of Owasso.
