James Lynn Phillips was born November 9, 1943, in Vinita, Oklahoma, to Marvin Edgar and Pearl Francis Huffman. He died May 30, 2021, in Tulsa, Oklahoma, at the age of 77 years. James was reared and educated in Vinita, Oklahoma, and graduated with the Vinita High School Class of 1961. He was married February 10, 1961, in Miami, Oklahoma, to Charlotte Waterbury. He worked many jobs throughout his lifetime including farming, boat dock builder, water and sewer superintendent, spray foam insulator, but primarily was a manager and mechanic at a Florida marina. He also enjoyed a variety of pastimes including hobbies as a skilled wood turner, crafting many bowls, goblets, swing gliders, benches, wooden chests, computer tables, wooden lamps and cradles. He even fashioned his own cremation urn.

A family gathering of remembrance and celebration with family and friends will be held in the fall of this year. Arrangements and services were entrusted to Mowery Funeral Service of Owasso.
