Sammy Dewane Lilly was born August 15, 1947, in England, Arkansas, to Charles F. and Dorothy Katherine Baier Lilly. He went to be with the Lord Tuesday, October 12, 2021, in Tulsa, Oklahoma, at the age of 74 years. Sam completed his secondary education in Little Rock, Arkansas, and graduated with the Little Rock Central High School Class of 1965. He continued his education at the University of Arkansas-Fayetteville where he earned his master’s in mathematics. Sam was married September 15, 1973, in Little Rock, Arkansas, to Sandra Maddox. He spent most of his working life as an IT specialist with BP/Amoco and IBM. He was a faithful member of Life.Church Owasso. He enjoyed a variety of pastimes including going to car shows, watching football, and taking his dogs for long walks.

He was preceded in death by his parents.
Funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Monday, November 1, 2021, at Life.Church, 14008 East 96th Street North, Owasso, Oklahoma, 918-272-4393. Visitation will be held from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. before the service, at the church. The family requests memorial contributions be made in Sam’s memory to the Oklahoma Hemophilia Foundation, 9524 East 81st Street, Suite 1510, Tulsa, Oklahoma, 74133, or the St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital P.O.
