On March 17th, the Owasso Police Department held an Oath-of-Office and Badge-Pinning Ceremony for new Owasso Police Officer, Mycheal Blunt – Badge #1111.
Mycheal is from Jenks and a former Calvary Scout with the US Army. (Mycheal has actually been on the department for almost a year, however, COVID outbreaks kept postponing his ceremony.)
He was born in Claypool, Arizona. then moved in 1996 to his new home of Jenks where he grew up and where he considered “home”. He graduated from Jenks High School in 2014.
Mycheal enlisted in the United States Army as a Cavalry Scout and served from 2014 to 2018, first in the 47th Calvary in South Korea then to 316 Calvary in Fort Benning Georgia.
He attended Liberty University (Virginia) and earned a degree in Business Finance.
Mycheal is married to Lisa Blunt, has no children at the moment, and currently resides in Broken Arrow.
