Jeanette Ellen McKisick was born October 5, 1932, in Parsons, Kansas, to Earl Ray Pickerill and Inez Irene Milks Pickerill. She died Friday, June 3, 2022, in Tulsa, Oklahoma, at the age of 89 years. Jeanette was reared and educated in Parsons, Kansas, and was a graduate of Parsons High School. She was married July 20, 1952, in Parsons to Joe McKisick. They had made their home in Catoosa, Oklahoma, since 1965. Jeanette spent most of her working life as a homemaker and caring for her family. She was a strong woman of faith and had been a longtime member of the First Foursquare Church in Tulsa. She enjoyed a variety of pastimes including spending time working in her garden and canning. She also enjoyed spending time visiting with her brothers, sisters, and other relatives. She dearly loved her family and was especially fond of her role as “Grandma”.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Joe McKisick, sisters, Grace Bolinger and Sally McGregor, and brother Max Pickerill.
Visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, June 7, 2022, at Mowery Funeral Service in Owasso. Funeral service will be held 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, June 8, 2022, at the Mowery Funeral Service Chapel in Owasso with Pastor John Arthur officiating. Serving as casket bearers will be Bradley Joe McKisick, Brandon McKisick, Mike McGregor, Jarrod McKisick, and Chuck Swindell. Committal service and interment will follow at Oakhaven Memorial Gardens in Claremore, Oklahoma. Arrangements and services were entrusted to Mowery Funeral Service of Owasso.
