Clay Hardin Britton was born September 16, 1950, in Fort Worth, Texas, to Robert Lewis Britton, Sr., and Shirley Mae Lovell Britton. He died June 19, 2022, in Tulsa, Oklahoma, at the age of 71.
Clay was a proud soldier serving his country during Vietnam as a member of the US Army. After the Army he worked in the oil field for several years before finally starting his own roofing company, Britton Roofing which he ran successfully until his retirement in 2012.
Clay was well known for his hobbies including cooking competitions, singing karaoke, fishing, gardening, and was an avid motorcycle rider and loved his Harley Davidsons.

He was preceded in death by his father, Robert Britton, Sr., brother, Rodney Britton, son, Jacob Britton and wife Becky Plunk-Britton
Funeral services for Clay will be held Sunday, July 10, 2022 at 2pm at the American Legion Post 1 in Tulsa. The family requests memorial contributions be made in Clay’s memory to the American Legion Post 1, 1120 East Eighth Street, Tulsa, Oklahoma, 74120. Arrangements and services were entrusted to Mowery Funeral Service of Owasso.
