Darlene Faye Fankhauser was born February 8, 1931, in Humboldt, Nebraska, to Joy Franklin Standerford and Millie Francis Moore Standerford. She died Thursday, July 28, 2022, in Owasso, Oklahoma, at the age of 91 years. Darlene completed her secondary education in Humboldt, Nebraska, and graduated with the Humboldt High School Class of 1951. She continued her education at Peru Teachers College in Peru, Nebraska. She was married June 10, 1951, in Humboldt to Donald Orin Fankhauser. They moved to Tulsa, Oklahoma, then made their home in Owasso, Oklahoma, in 1974. Darlene spent most of her working life as a binder with Penwell Publishing in Tulsa. She was a strong woman of faith and was a longtime member of Sandusky Avenue Christian Church in Tulsa. She enjoyed a variety of pastimes including sporting events. She dearly loved her family and especially enjoyed family activities and gatherings.

Two sons; Don Fankhauser and wife Robin, of Jefferson City, Missouri
Doug Fankhauser, of Owasso, Oklahoma
Six grandchildren
Sixteen great grandchildren
And a host of extended relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Don, son, Chris Fankhauser, granddaughter, Lindsay Fankhauser, and two brothers, Morris “Dee” Standerford and James “Jim” Standerford.
Visitation will be held from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. Sunday, July 31, 2022, at Mowery Funeral Service in Owasso. Funeral service will be held 1:00 p.m. Monday, August 1, 2022, at the Mowery Funeral Service Chapel. After transportation overland to Humboldt, Nebraska, a funeral will be held 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, August 2, 2022, at the Four-Mile Church, with interment to follow at the Four Mile Cemetery, where she will be laid to rest next to her husband, Don, and son, Chris. Arrangements and services were entrusted to Mowery Funeral Service of Owasso.
