Patricia Kay “Patty” Hampton was born June 15, 1947, in Tulsa, Oklahoma, to Fred H. Hampton and Mary L. Hall Hampton. She died Saturday, October 29, 2022, in Owasso, Oklahoma, at the age of 75 years. Patty was raised and educated in Owasso and graduated with the Owasso High School Class of 1965. She continued her education attending Oklahoma Baptist University in Shawnee, Oklahoma, where she studied business finance. She spent most of her career in banking, culminating as President and CEO of Arvest Trust Company in Bartlesville.
Patty was a woman of faith and dearly loved her church family. She was a founding member of Central Baptist Church in Owasso where she was active with the JOY Sunday School class. Over the years, Patty served in many capacities in her church from youth director, Bible teacher, and various other positions. She loved studying God’s word and sharing her faith with others, always gently and with a smile. In Patty’s own words, she wanted her service to be very upbeat, that Christ be glorified, and that she was finally home. Those she leaves behind who hold many cherished memories include:

She was preceded in death by her parents, Fred H. and Mary Hampton, and two brothers, Fred L. Hampton and Bill Hampton.
Visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Friday, November 4, 2022, at Mowery Funeral Service in Owasso. Funeral will be held 10:00 a.m. Saturday, November 5, 2022, at Central Baptist Church in Owasso with Pastor Clayton Chisum and Pastor Kevin Laufer officiating. Serving as casket bearers will be Michael Waugh, John Hampton, Fred E. Hampton, Terry Hampton, Philip Hampton, and Brian Hampton. Final resting place will be at Ridgelawn Cemetery in Collinsville, Oklahoma. The family requests memorial contributions be made in Patty’s memory to the Central Baptist Church Youth Camp Scholarship Fund, 9110 North 145th East Avenue, Owasso, Oklahoma, 74055. Arrangements and services were entrusted to Mowery Funeral Service of Owasso.
