Nelda Audine Patterson was born June 13, 1947, in McCurtain, Oklahoma, to Sidney Patterson and Carmen Cole Patterson. She died Tuesday, March 21, 2023, in Tulsa, Oklahoma, at the age of 75 years. Nelda completed her secondary education in McCurtain, Oklahoma, and was a graduate of McCurtain High School. After high school Nelda’s first job was selling magazines over the phone. She had also worked a time for a private investigator, but most of her professional career was working as a hospital accounts supervisor. Nelda enjoyed a variety of pastimes including trying out new recipes, as well as sewing and crafting. Although she had never married or had children of her own, Nelda leaves behind an extended and loving family who hold many cherished memories including 22 nieces and nephews, 21 great nieces and great nephews, and a host of great great nieces and great great nephews. She also has one sister, Ruth Coffey and her husband Floyd, of Stigler, Oklahoma. She was preceded in death by her parents, four brothers, Doyle Patterson, Curtis Patterson, Donald (Mack) Patterson, and Gary Patterson, and two sisters, Doris Pugh and Sue Baty.
