Dorothy Eleanor Boone was born September 9, 1931, in Detroit, Michigan, to William Reynolds Atwood and Dorothy Helen Vaughan Atwood. She went home to be with the Lord Friday, June 2, 2023, in Owasso, Oklahoma, at the age of 91 years. Dorothy completed her secondary education in Detroit and was a graduate of Cooley High School. She married Milton Boone in Detroit. She spent most of her early working life as a banker with Guarantee National Bank. She then attended Rhema Bible Institute in Oklahoma with her husband Milt. Upon completion she went into full time Christian ministry. She had the opportunity to minister in over 11 different countries. In her spare time, she enjoyed a variety of past times such as teaching bible studies, puzzles, and traveling. Her favorite thing to do was beat her children and grandkids at cards.

She was preceded in death by her son Mike Boone and his wife Shelia
Dorothy will be laid to rest at Stiles Cemetery in Lapeer, Michigan. Arrangements and services were entrusted to Mowery Funeral Service of Owasso.
