Loretta Ann (Bauer) Reeves was born on August 2, 1939, in Guymon, Oklahoma to Leo H. Bauer and Virgie Matilda (Bartles) Bauer. She passed from this life on Monday, June 12, 2023, in Owasso, Oklahoma at the age of 83 years. Loretta was raised and educated in Guymon and graduated with the Guymon High School Class of 1957. She then went on to earn a bachelor’s degree in Home Economics Education from Oklahoma State University in Stillwater, Oklahoma. Loretta was married on June 11, 1960, in Guymon to H. Eugene Reeves. She spent most of her working life as an elementary school teacher with Guymon Public Schools for 23 years. Loretta was a longtime faithful member of Faith Lutheran Church in Owasso. She enjoyed volunteer work and volunteered as a 4-H and a Scout Leader as well as working with the American Legion Auxiliary and the Lutheran Women Missionary League.

Funeral service will be held 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, June 14, 2023, at Faith Lutheran Church in Owasso with Pastor Mark Neuman officiating. Graveside and interment will be held at Fort Gibson National Cemetery in Fort Gibson, Oklahoma. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to AbleLight, 600 Hoffman Drive, Watertown, WI 23094. AbleLight is a non-profit human service organization serving people with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
