07/18/2023 – Attention residents in our area: The Tulsa Health Department has identified mosquitoes carrying the West Nile Virus. Please refer to the attached image for a reference map of the affected square miles. We are taking necessary actions to minimize the mosquito population in your vicinity, which may include spraying, using larvae control products, and conducting public outreach. We will notify you in advance of any scheduled spray events.
To safeguard yourself from mosquito bites, it is advisable to wear an approved insect repellent containing DEET or Picaridin. Mosquitoes breed in stagnant water, so emptying out water sources can help prevent their breeding. If you have any inquiries about mosquito control, please contact us at 918-595-4200.
