It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved wife, mother, and grandmother Gail Yager. She went home to be with Jesus on September 14, 2023, after a valiant battle with cancer.
Gail Yager was born on June 8th, 1940 in Anniston, Alabama to Josephine and James Parrott. She grew up in a close-knit family and was deeply rooted in her faith in God from a young age. Her unwavering belief and strong spirituality served as a guiding light throughout her life.
In 1965, Gail married the love of her life, Ken Yager, and together they embarked on a beautiful journey filled with love, devotion, and countless cherished memories. Their love was a testament to the power of commitment and partnership, and their bond was an inspiration to all who knew them.
As a mother, Gail was a constant source of love, wisdom, and support. She raised her children, Angie Culbertson and Scott Yager, with boundless love and instilled in them the values of kindness, compassion, and faith. She treasured her role as a mother and embraced every moment spent with her family.
When Gail became a grandmother, her joy knew no bounds. She doted on her grandchildren, Alex Culbertson, Avery Culbertson, and Ryan Yager. She enjoyed her family’s interests supporting them in their sports and activities. Her legacy will live on through the generations she influenced.
Gail was an active member of First Baptist Owasso and dedicated herself to her faith community. She found solace, strength, and purpose in her relationship with God, and her steadfast belief was a source of inspiration to all who knew her. Her kindness and willingness to help others in need were a reflection of her deep faith.
Gail is survived by her loving husband, Ken Yager; her daughter Angie Culbertson and her husband David Culbertson; Her son Scott Yager and his wife Dana Yager; her grandchildren, Alex Culbertson, Avery Culbertson, and Ryan Yager; her sisters Mary (Richard) Henderson and Carol (Randy) Brooks and a host of extended family members and friends who will forever cherish her memory.
A celebration of Gail Yager’s life will be held 10:30AM on September 21st, at First Baptist Owasso. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations to be made in her honor to theMission Center. www.themission.net
Gail’s departure leaves a void that can never be filled, but her love, faith, and the memories she created will continue to live on in our hearts. She has now found eternal peace in the loving embrace of her Heavenly Father, where pain and suffering no longer exist, and where her spirit will shine brightly forever.
