Loretta Elizabeth Emmerson was born September 25, 1930, in St. Elizabeth, Missouri, to Lambert Aloysius Buechter and Elizabeth J. Evers Buechter. She died Saturday, March 16, 2024
in Collinsville, Oklahoma, at the age of 93 years. Loretta completed her secondary education in St. Elizabeth, Missouri, and graduated with the St. Elizabeth High School Class of 1947. She was married February 24, 1962, in Lawndale, California, to Clifton Earl “Cliff” Emmerson. Loretta spent most of her working life as owner and operator of Cliff’s Mustang Café alongside her husband. After Cliff’s passing on February 9, 1993, Loretta continued to operate the café until her retirement.
She was a faithful member of St. Henry’s Catholic Church in Owasso, and dearly loved her church. She enjoyed a variety of pastimes including coloring and playing the piano. Loretta loved her family, and was especially fond of her role as Grandma to her grandkids.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Cliff, two sons, Rick Emmerson and John Emmerson, daughter, Carol Morris, brother, Jim Buechter, and two sisters, Mitzi Janson and Delores Nimitz.
Funeral Mass will be held 10:00 a.m. Friday, March 22, 2024, at St. Henry’s Catholic Church in Owasso with Father Matt LaChance officiating. Final resting place will be at Wann Cemetery in Oologah, Oklahoma. The family requests memorial contributions be made in Loretta’s memory to St. Henry’s Catholic Church, 8500 North Owasso Expressway, Owasso, Oklahoma, 74055. Arrangements and services were entrusted to Mowery Funeral Service of Owasso.
