Erma Sharlene Kepler was born Erma Sharlene Baker on August 29, 1942, in Tulsa,
Okla. to Shannon Baker and Erma Morton Baker. Her entire life she chose to be
called Sharlene. She was raised by her paternal grandparents, William and Mona
Baker and educated in Owasso Okla., where she made the Church of Christ her
spiritual home for life.
Sharlene married the love of her life, Danny Kepler, on August 4th, 1959. They had
three children, Shannon James, Sharon Sharlene and Jimmy Wade. The children
were always the joy in her life. She had a special gift regarding caring for children,
and ran a daycare out of her home for many years. She touched so many
children’s lives with her love and kindness. Her pastimes included reading,
sewing, listening to music and white-water rafting.
Sharlene died Saturday, May 11, 2024, in Tulsa, Okla. at the age of 81 years.
Loving family members include her son Shannon Kepler and his wife Gina, of
Tulsa; daughter Sharon Brimacomb and her husband Brent, of Depew, Okla.; son
Jimmy Kepler, of Tulsa; six grandchildren, Shandra Wiley and her fiancée
Christopher Atchley, Matthew Brimacomb, Andrew Brimacomb and his wife
Stephanie, Lisa Kepler, Danielle Lynn Kepler, Rebecca Kepler; great grandchildren,
Shailey Wiley, Brayden Wiley, Brooklyn Brimacomb, Bronson Brimacomb, Avery
Atchley, Bryston Brimacomb, Brent (Andy) Brimacomb, Kinzley Atchley.; sisters
Rhonda Denton of Richards, Texas and Sandra Guth of Houston, Texas. Niece, Melissa Parks of Spring, Texas
She was preceded in death by her parents, grandparents,
ex-husband and sister Marilyn Moore.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 a. m. Wednesday, May 15, 2024, at Mowery’s
Funeral Home in Owasso Okla. with Preacher Tim Bowman officiating. Serving as
casket bearers will be Matthew Brimacomb, Andrew Brimacomb, Brayden Wiley,
Bronson Brimacomb, Christopher Atchley and Mike Bauer. Committal service and
interment will follow at Fairview Cemetery in Owasso, Okla. Arrangements and
services were entrusted to Mowery Funeral Service of Owasso. A special thank
you to the Owasso Church of Christ for their compassion.
