Carol Jean Terrill was a caring wife, mother, sister, and friend. She left this world on July 5, 2024 at age 74 in Beggs, Oklahoma.
She was born to Charles Harlan Dunn and Helena Jeune (Riker) Dunn on September 3, 1949 in Tulsa, Oklahoma. She graduated from Owasso High School.
While working in the insurance industry, she met her husband, Lewis Donald Terrill and married on May 19, 1972. Together they had a daughter, Ginger. She raised her daughter and stepsons, Charles and Lewis.
In 1974, Don and Carol moved to Beggs, Oklahoma on 10 acres to raise horses. They started the Oklahoma Buckskin Horse Association in 1981. Carol competed her horses at local Quarter Horse, Buckskin, and Hunter-Jumper shows. She also enjoyed foxhunting with Harvard Fox Hounds. In her spare time, Carol enjoyed trail riding with family and friends, dancing, planting flowers, and bird watching. She enjoyed traveling with her companion and best friend, Jerry Angelo.


She is survived by her daughter, Ginger and stepson, Lewis; and many cousins, nieces, and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Harlan and Jeune Dunn, sisters, Marcia Jackson and Beverly Dunn, husbands Don Terrill and Charles Blackley, and her stepson, Charles Terrill.
A funeral service is scheduled for 11 am on July 23, 2024 at Mowery’s Funeral Service in Owasso, Oklahoma.
