Frances Emily Menefee was born on October 29, 1936, in Monett, Missouri to George Washington Morris and Mary Elizabeth Morris. She passed from this life on Wednesday, April 16, 2025, in Owasso, Oklahoma at the age of 88 years. Frances was raised and educated in Monett. She was married on January 5, 1953, in Siloam Springs, Arkansas, to Kenneth “Wayne” Menefee. Frances spent most of her working life as a customer service representative with American Airlines in Tulsa. She was a longtime faithful member of Bethel Baptist Church in Owasso where she served many years in the children’s ministry. In her spare time, Frances enjoyed a variety of past times such as crocheting, playing cards, watching her favorite tv shows and movies, and traveling, but most of all she loved spending time with her family and especially her grandchildren to whom she was affectionately known as “Granny.”

She was preceded in death by her parents, George and Mary, three brothers, Robert, Elroy, and Billy, five sisters, Beaulah, Viola, Fern, Bonnie, and Margie, and her husband, Wayne.
