04/23/2025 – After decades of serving the community, Marlin Kerr has officially retired from Owasso Pawn—a business he’s been part of since 1991. Marlin and his wife Rhonda purchased the shop in 2006, and in March 2016, they relocated it from its home in the old Wells Grocery Store on 76th Street to its current spot on the east service road.
Running the family-owned business has been a labor of love for Marlin, and when it came time to retire, he hoped to pass it along to another family with the same values and dedication.
Enter Joe and Susana Willard.
On February 26th, Marlin handed over the keys—and ownership—to the Willards, confident that the shop is in good hands.
As for retirement plans? Marlin says he doesn’t have anything lined up just yet—he’s just enjoying the transition.
Over the past few months, the Willards have been busy remodeling and updating the space, putting their own touch on the shop while continuing the legacy Marlin built.
