04/06/2018 – It’s officially spring, and, for some of us, that means several weeks of sneezing along with other symptoms such as itchy, watery eyes and nasal drip. Whether you battle seasonal allergies, year- round allergy ailments, asthma, or other immune deficiency needs, Allergy Clinic of Tulsa’s brand new, expanded facility in Owasso can help.
“Allergy testing is nothing like it used to be,” according to the physicians of Allergy Clinic of Tulsa (ACT). “It’s almost painless, and results are known quickly. And most people can refer themselves to the clinic without the hassle of a formal insurance referral.” With health care that is fast, effective and hassle free, it’s easy to see how the practice has expanded in such a short amount of time.
“We opened our first Owasso clinic about four years ago,” says Kelly J. Riley, chief operating officer of ACT. “It was approximately 1,500 square feet, but the demand was so great, we outgrew that clinic quickly. Our new clinic is over 3,400 square feet and has more than enough space to address the needs of Owasso and surrounding areas.”
While the Owasso location may be fairly new, ACT has been serving patients for nearly 60 years, helping to address allergy, asthma, and immune deficiency needs by diagnosing and offering many treatments and services, including skin testing, allergy immunotherapy, oral immunotherapy, severe asthma management, and food and drug desensitization among other services. For immune deficiency patients, both IV and subcutaneous infusion services are offered.
While many of us expect allergy symptoms at certain times of year, ACT physicians say it’s important to know allergies can strike anyone—from infants to seniors— at any time, and ACT is there to treat all ages. All of their doctors are board certified in allergy and immunology and trained in treating the full spectrum of allergy and immunology disorders in both children and adults.
“Patients of ACT can expect to receive the highest quality comprehensive healthcare in a comfortable, convenient facility, delivered by physicians and staff whose primary concern is working with each individual to meet their unique needs,” Riley says.
Further setting them apart, ACT is owned by its physicians. “That means decisions in how we run our business are physician directed—the same physicians who live and share in the community they also serve,” Riley adds.
With community in mind, ACT chose to expand to the Owasso area for its growing healthcare community, friendly people, and small-town feel.
The Owasso community is invited to come out to the ribbon cutting/grand opening of their new location April 19 at 6:30 p.m. The first several hundred attendees will receive special gifts, and everyone will be entered into a drawing for $50 gift cards to local restaurants.
