Barbara Jean EvansBarbara Jean Evans was born May 22, 1941, in Hugo, Oklahoma to Robert Amos Griffin and Mavis Eula Clayborn. She passed from this life on Monday, August 12, 2019, in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma, at the age of 78 years. Barbara was raised and educated in Hugo where she graduated from Hugo High School. She spent most of her working life as a receptionist with Tulsa Air. Barbara was married in Owasso, Oklahoma on July 3, 1992 to Mark Evans. She had a variety of pastimes such as planting potted flowers, shopping, reading, and working crossword puzzles, but most of all she loved her grandchildren and spending time with them.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Mavis, brother, Patrick Griffin, and two sisters, Frances Funk and Elizabeth Burks.
 
Visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Thursday, August 15, 2019, at Mowery Funeral Service in Owasso. Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, August 16, 2019 at the Mowery Funeral Service Chapel with Pastor Leonard Pirtle officiating. Interment will follow at Graceland Memorial Park in Owasso. Arrangements and services were entrusted to Mowery Funeral Service of Owasso.
