Barbara Jo Barnard was born December 10, 1961, in Cabool, Missouri, to Martin Glen Hale and Myrtle (Worley) Hale. She died Monday, January 11, 2021, in Owasso, Oklahoma, at the age of 59 years. Barbara was raised and educated in Willow Springs and graduated with the Willow Springs High School Class of 1980. She then went on to earn her associate degree as a Legal Secretary at Oklahoma State University Technical School in Okmulgee, and also where she met Walter. She was married on July 2, 1983 in Willow Springs to Walter Z. Barnard Jr. Barbara spent most of her working life as an administrative assistant in the Biology Department at the University of Tulsa for almost 25 years. She enjoyed a variety of pastimes such as traveling to the Gulf Coast and going on cruises, working jigsaw puzzles, and collecting cat ceramics and figurines, but most of all she loved spending time with her family.
