Bobbie Jean Swim was born April 6, 1938, in Collinsville, Oklahoma, to Everett Rossen and Ivan Jaunita Robertson Pavey. She died Wednesday, November 3, 2021, in Tulsa, Oklahoma, at the age of 83 years. Bobbie completed her secondary education in Owasso, Oklahoma, and graduated with the Owasso High School Class of 1956 and was a standout basketball player with the Owasso Ramettes. She was married June 29, 1956, in South Gate, California, to John Dean Swim. Bobbie had worked as a bookkeeper for the Farmers Co-Op, Evans Ready-Mix, and RCB Bank in Collinsville. She was a strong woman of faith and had been a member of the Collinsville Baptist Tabernacle since 1958. She enjoyed a variety of pastimes including playing the piano and watching basketball. She especially loved her grandchildren who affectionately knew her as “Gramma”.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Everett and Juanita Pavey, sisters, Patty Shadrick and Rena Darlene Pavey, and brother, Billy Dean Pavey.
Visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Monday, November 8, 2021, at Mowery Funeral Service in Owasso. Funeral service will be held 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, November 9, 2021, at the Mowery Funeral Service Chapel with Pastor Jimmy Ray officiating. Serving as casket bearers will be Brad Cantrell, Lance Williamson, Matthew Rodrock, Jason Carey, Wes Fjeldsted, Matthew Boyd and Anthony Rodrock. Committal service and interment will follow at Ridgelawn Cemetery in Collinsville. The family requests memorial contributions be made to the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation, 2488 East 81st Street, Suite 124, Tulsa, Oklahoma, 74137. Arrangements and services were entrusted to Mowery Funeral Service of Owasso.
