Bobby Gene Taylor was born on April 27, 1959, in Vinita, Oklahoma to Robert Lloyd Taylor and Carole Faye (Ridgley) Taylor. He passed from this life on Monday, January 22, 2024, in Owasso, Oklahoma at the age of 64 years. Bobby was raised and educated in Tulsa as a part of the East Central High School Class of 1977.
After high school, Bobby worked for PSO for 19 years but spent most of his working life as an aircraft mechanic with Nordam for the past 27 years. Bobby was married on August 27, 1983, in Tulsa to Kathryn Ann (Kaiser) Taylor. In his spare time, Bobby enjoyed a variety of pastimes such as lawn and gardening, and watching the St. Louis Cardinals and Oklahoma Sooners. His favorite love of all was spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. He is survived by: His Loving Wife; Kathryn Taylor 2 Daughters; Shannon Martinez and husband R.J. of Collinsville, OK Lindsay Drake and her husband Derek of Broken Arrow, OK 4 Grandchildren; Judah Martinez, Jentzen Martinez, Hadleigh Martinez, and Adley Drake Brother; Wade Taylor and his wife Denise He is preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Carole Taylor, sister, Debbie Hougland, paternal grandparents, Henry and Cora Taylor, maternal grandparents, Estel and Melba Ridgley, and his in-laws, John and Elise Kaiser. A visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, January 25, 2024, at Mowery Funeral Service in Owasso. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, January 26, 2024, at Owasso First Assembly. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in Bobby’s memory to Neighbors in Need, 708 N. Main St, Owasso, OK 74055. Arrangements and services were entrusted to Mowery Funeral Service.
