B HackerBonnie Jean Hacker was born July 18, 1928, at Brushy Mountain, Oklahoma, near Sallisaw, to Joe and Bessie (McKinney) Long. She died Thursday, February 11, 2016, in Tulsa, Oklahoma, at the age of 87 years. Bonnie was reared and educated at Brushy Mountain schools and Sallisaw Public Schools. She was married April 7, 1956, in Tahlequah, Oklahoma, to Charles Hacker, making their home in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Bonnie was dedicated to God and her family, spending her early years raising her children and working primarily in the home. When the children were older, she worked in the cafeteria for Tulsa Public Schools and retired after 17 years of service. She and Charles had made their home in Skiatook, Oklahoma since 1995. She attended Skiatook Free Will Baptist Church and liked to go to bluegrass and gospel singings. Bonnie enjoyed a variety of pastimes including watching her grandkids playing ball, watching college sports and attending sporting events. She cherished her role as “Nannie” and “Granny Bon” to all the grandchildren, as well as many others in the community.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Charles Hacker, grandson, Keith Charles Wilson, four sisters, Jewell Roberts, Annie McCaslin, Ruby Long, and Elba Benge, and two brothers, Charles “Choc” Long, and Carl Long.

Visitation will be held from 1:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, February 16, 2016, at the Skiatook Free Will Baptist Church. Funeral service will be held 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, February 17, 2016, at the First Baptist Church West Rogers Campus in Skiatook with Pastor Mitch Leonard, Pastor Heath Tucker, and Pastor Adam Stang officiating. Committal service and interment will follow at Osage Gardens Cemetery in Skiatook, Oklahoma. Arrangements and services were entrusted to Mowery Funeral Service of Owasso.
