Bonnie Jeannine Shackelford was born April 24, 1958, in Tulsa, Oklahoma, to Jack Edward Stewart and Phyllis Jo (Picaman) Stewart. She passed from this life on Sunday, January 28, 2024, at her home in Owasso, Oklahoma, at the age of 65 years. Bonnie was raised in Tulsa, and attended Mclain High School, but transferred to and graduated from Edison High School.
After graduation, Bonnie got a job with Bank of Oklahoma as a receptionist. She worked there throughout her entire career, retiring as Financial Systems Administrator as well as Assistant Vice President, after 44 years of service. Her favorite past times after retirement were talking to neighbors, phone calls with friends that would last hours, and playing Red Ball slot machines at the casino.
Those she leaves behind who hold many cherished memories include daughters, Catrina Shackelford, of Owasso, Oklahoma, and Brooke Shackelford, of Joplin, Missouri; grandchildren, Silas Shackelford, of Oologah, Oklahoma, and Jadyn Newman, of Ketchum, Oklahoma; brothers, Jack Stewart, Jr., of Germany, and Jimmy Lee Stewart, of Skiatook, Oklahoma.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Jack and Phyllis Stewart.
The memorial service will be held at 3:00 pm on Thursday, February 8, 2024, at the Mowery Funeral Service Chapel in Owasso, with Reverend Kevin Laufer officiating.
