Brian Dean Jones was born January 20, 1968, in Shenandoah, Iowa, to Gregory Clete Jones and Cyntha Louise Maryada Miller Council. He died Sunday, November 10, 2024, in Owasso, Oklahoma, at the age of 56 years. Brian completed his secondary education in Plant City, Florida, and graduated with the Plant City High School of 1986. He was a very talented carpenter and enjoyed working with Amarillo Custom Fixtures in Catoosa, Oklahoma.
​Brian made his home in Owasso in 2014. He was married January 25, 2014, in Farragut, Iowa, to Earlene Lee. It was after meeting and marrying her that Billy Carrington’s song “Must Be Doing Something Right” became his theme song. During his sickness, Brian would often listen to Tom T Hall song “Me and Jesus” and it brought him joy. He enjoyed a variety of pastimes including cars, street racing, and being an avid NASCAR fan. He was also a fan of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and KC Chiefs football teams. Brian dearly loved his family, and was especially fond of his role as “Grampa Brian”.

Mother and Father in law; Bill and Jo Lee
Dog babies; Caca and Keela, who were by his side at all times!
He was preceded in death by his father, Gregory Clete Jones, Nephew, Kyle Ray Bryant, grandparents; Mollie and Eugene Miller of Farragut IA, Evelyn and Paul Jones of Shenandoah IA,
​Private family services will be held at a later date. The family requests memorial contributions be made in Brian’s memory to the John 3:16 Mission, Attn.: Development Dept. P. O. Box 1477, Tulsa, Oklahoma, 74101-1477, or www.john316mission.org. Arrangements and services were entrusted to Mowery Funeral Service of Owasso.
