Calvin Coolidge Croslin was born September 29, 1936, in Coweta, Oklahoma, to Squirrel and Hallie Fox (Hicks) Croslin. He died Saturday, August 22, 2015, in Tulsa, Oklahoma, at the age of 78 years. Calvin was a longtime Owasso resident and graduated with the Owasso High School Class of 1954 where he played football. He was married November 25, 1955, in Sperry, Oklahoma, to Synoma Bowyer. He spent most of his working life as a paint technician and mixer beginning with Allied Paint and later with Sherman Williams. After completing his career in the paint industry, he worked for Owasso Public Schools as a custodian and in maintenance where he later retired. Calvin and his wife were active with the Sons of the American Legion Post #308 in Tulsa and the Tulsa Moose Lodge #862. He was an avid Oklahoma Sooners fan and enjoyed all sports. He was also a longtime supporter of Owasso Ram Athletics and was part of the Friday night Chain Gang. He enjoyed a variety of pastimes including playing cards and especially spending time fishing.

He was preceded in death by his parents, son, Calvin Croslin, Jr., two brothers, George Croslin, John E. Croslin, and five sisters; Mary Jane Colvin, Elizabeth Cook, Juanita Sokolosky, Mildred Lucas, and Hazel Booker.
Visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, August 25, 2015, at Mowery Funeral Service in Owasso. Funeral service will be held 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, August 26, 2015, at the Mowery Funeral Service Chapel in Owasso with Pastor Ed Richards officiating. Serving as casket bearers will be Zach Croslin, Dylan Croslin, Matthew Croslin, Eric Carter, Joe Littlefield, and Clint Combs. Committal service and interment will follow at Ridgelawn Cemetery in Collinsville, Oklahoma. The family requests memorial contributions be made to the Sons of the American Legion Post #308, 11328 East Admiral Place, Tulsa, Oklahoma, 74116. Arrangements and services were entrusted to Mowery Funeral Service of Owasso.
