Calvin Robert Davies was born August 6, 1942, in Heron Lake, Minnesota, to Harry James Davies and Elsie Margaret Roe Davies. He died after a long hard battle on Monday, December 9, 2024, in Tulsa, Oklahoma, at the age of 82 years. Calvin grew up in a farming community in Minnesota and completed his secondary education graduating from Storden High School. He was a veteran of the armed forces having served his country honorably with the United States Air Force. It was during this time where he met his sweetheart, La’Rene Anderson. They would be married March 25, 1967, in Windom, Minnesota. The couple moved to Tulsa where Calvin continued his education at the Spartan School of Aeronautics. He spent over 32 years of his working life as an inspector with Rockwell International, then Boeing, and lastly Spirit.
Calvin was a strong man of faith and was a longtime member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Elm Creek Ward in Owasso. He had a servants heart and was a dedicated husband to his wife. Calvin enjoyed a variety of pastimes including watching and attending football games. He was an avid lover of animals. He loved being a mechanic and could fix anything with an engine. For many years, Calvin was an active Scout leader for the Boy Scouts, with one of his fondest memories being taking his oldest grandson Zach to Philmont. He was always supportive of his children and their chosen activities.

Ashlyn Davies, of Georgetown, Texas
Great grandchildren; Liam Davies and Lydia Davies
Sister; Laura Jane Davies, of New Brighton, Minnesota
He was preceded in death by his parents, Harry and Elsie Davies, wife La’Rene, and brother, Charles Davies.
Funeral service will be held 10:00 a.m. Friday, January 10, 2025, at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Owasso. Committal service and interment will be held 2:00 p.m. that afternoon at the Fort Gibson National Cemetery in Fort Gibson, Oklahoma.
