Cameron Michael Hood was born September 25, 1989, in Tulsa, Oklahoma, to Embry L. and Rhonda (Brown) Hood. He was reared and educated in Owasso, Oklahoma, and graduated with the Owasso High School Class of 2009. While in high school, Cameron was a member of the Pride of Owasso Band, the STAY team, and attended Tulsa Technology Center. He continued his education at Tulsa Community College where he earned his Associates Degree in Mass Communications. He was currently attending Rogers State University in Claremore, Oklahoma. Cameron was proud to work for KJRH Channel 2 in Tulsa as a photojournalist and editor. He was very active at St. Henry Catholic Church in Owasso and served in several capacities including the Peer Ministry Team. He was also very passionate about helping people suffering with AIDS. Cameron served as a great friend and example to everyone.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Cline and Pearl Hood.
Visitation will be held from 9:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m., Wednesday, December 11, 2013, at Mowery Funeral Service in Owasso, with a Rosary Service to be held at 6:30 p.m. at St. Henry Catholic Church followed by a Vigil at 7:00 p.m. A Mass of the Resurrection will be held 10:00 a.m., Thursday at St. Henry Catholic Church in Owasso with Father Richard Bradley and Father Matt La Chance officiating. Serving as casket bearers will be Kerry Hood, Scott Roepel, Nick Nill, Jon Ray, Tyler Rains, Anthony O’Brien, Dylan Rhodes, Conner Braud, Matt Hulsey, Nate Davis, Tyler Joines, and Brent Cartwright. Committal services and interment will follow at St. Therese Cemetery in Collinsville, Oklahoma.
