Cami Leigh Huckaby was born March 15, 1995, in Dallas, Texas to William “Biff” Huckaby and Sondra Kay (Hooper) Huckaby. Cami, age 28, passed away unexpectedly Friday, May 5, 2023.
Cami graduated with the Owasso High School Class of 2013. After caring for her mother, Cami earned her phlebotomy certification and Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license with the hopes to enter a field where she could help and care for others. In December 2021, Cami was diagnosed with breast cancer and fought with high spirits until successful completion of her treatment February 2023. Cami was looking forward to returning to school in the Fall in pursuit of a degree in accounting.
Cami’s favorite ways to make memories included being with friends, going to concerts, and attending sporting events. Cami started attending Future Owasso Rams (F.O.R.) football games as a cheerleader in elementary school. As she got older, she continued her love of sports by cheering on the Owasso High School football, baseball, and lacrosse teams.
Cami would befriend everyone she met and had endless words of encouragement, offers of support, and love to give everyone she met. Cami became an honorary Aunt to her friend’s children and was her happiest when spending time with her “nieces and nephews.”
