Carolyn Kay (Moore) McIntosh of Tulsa was born to Freeman Chalmer and Essie Ola (Wharton) Moore on December 20, 1945 in Clarksville, Texas. She was the second born of twin girls. They moved from Bogota, TX to Oklahoma in 1959. Carolyn gave her heart to Jesus in 1963, and had followed him joyfully the remainder of her days. She was a graduate of Tulsa Central High School (Downtown) in 1964. Carolyn had met Donald R. McIntosh at a church camp in Tulsa in June of 1965. After much prayer, they were united in marriage on November 23, 1968; to this union three children were born. Carolyn’s priority in life, besides serving her savior, was to be a wife, mother and grandmother. She enjoyed playing Bunco, collecting Nutcracker figurines and playing games with her family. Carolyn passed from this life on Sunday, January 31, 2016 at the age of 70 years.
Those that cherish her memory include her husband – Don of the home; children – Kimberly Kay McCoy & husband Brad of Tulsa, Leslie Don McIntosh and wife Holli of Tulsa and Trenton Loren McIntosh and wife Miranda of Coweta; Grandchildren – Cody McCoy, Tyler McCoy, Jessica McIntosh, Alyssa McCoy, Scott McIntosh, Sierra McCoy and Ryan McIntosh. Also surviving are her siblings – Evelyn Eudy of Bogota, TX, Jane Belcher of Palestine, TX, Barbara Freeman of Sulfur Springs, TX, Donnie Moore of San Angelo, TX, her twin Marilyn Naas of Tulsa, OK and Hulan Moore of Clarksville, TX; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Carolyn was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers Hollis and Dadie J. Moore.
Funeral services for Carolyn will be held at 10:30 AM Wednesday, February 3, 2016 in the chapel of Mowery Funeral Service with Pastor James Bell officiating. Burial will follow in the Fairview Cemetery at Talala, OK. There will be a visitation for family and friends on Tuesday evening from 6-8pm at the funeral home.
