Owasso – March 17, 2015: The Owasso Recycle Center is changing hours of operation. In order to continue to provide the best possible customer service to citizens and reduce operational costs, City staff will be changing operational hours for the Recycling Center & Convenience Drop-off Station. The new hours will be 10:30 am to 5:30 pm Tuesday through Friday and 9:00 am to 4:00 pm Saturday.
These changes will become effective March 31, 2015. Also effective March 31st, the yardwaste disposal area will be closed to the public. Due to the amount of debris being disposed of, either by residents or from the curbside pickup program, the landfill is nearing capacity. In order to address resident needs, the yardwaste disposal area will be open the first two Saturdays in May and the first two Saturdays in November on a yearly basis. Disposal is for residents living within the Owasso city limits, and proof of residency is required. In addition, the disposal area will be open on an as needed basis in the case of a major weather event.
