Charles Albert Goldesberry, resident of Owasso, passed away Tuesday, April 1, 2014 at his home. He was 56 years of age. Charles was born November 5, 1957 in Tulsa to Raymond and Margie (Justus) Goldesberry. He was raised and received his education in Tulsa, graduating from Booker T. Washington High School. Charles served in the U.S. Air Force from November 1983 until Aug of 1992, being discharged with the rank of Sergeant. On August 3, 2001, Charles and Shelby Tramell were united in marriage in Hot Springs, Arkansas. At the time of his death, he was the night shift lead at the Hard Rock Casino in Catoosa. He and Shelby have resided in Owasso since 2001. Charles was raised in the Baptist faith, and enjoyed bowling, fishing and most sports.
Those that survive include his wife Shelby; a son Aaron Goldesberry of Owasso; a step son Matthew Tramell of Broken Arrow; his mother Margie Goldesberry of Claremore; three brothers Jim, Larry and William Goldesberry all of Tulsa and a sister Barbara Francis of California. Charles was preceded in death by his father.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 am Monday, April 7, 2014 in the sanctuary of the West Tulsa Free Will Baptist Church with Rev. Russell Payne officiating. Burial will be at 2:00 pm Monday in the Washington Cemetery, Rogers County, northeast of Claremore. Visitation for Charles will be Sunday, April 6, 2014 from 2pm – 6pm at Mowery Funeral Service in Owasso.
