C.R. “Bob†Knight was born February 8, 1921, in Oldfield, Missouri, to Charles and Lulu May (Hall) Knight. He died Monday, August 10, 2015, in Owasso, Oklahoma, at the age of 94 years. Bob was reared and educated in Tulsa, Oklahoma, and was a graduate of Daniel Webster High School. He was a veteran of the armed forces having served his country honorably with the United States Army during World War II. Bob was married October 19, 1944, in Tulsa, Oklahoma, to Bea Durkee. They had made their home in Owasso since 1975. He spent much of his working life as a firefighter in Tulsa and retired as a Captain with the Tulsa Fire Department. He was a faithful member of First Christian Church in Owasso. He enjoyed a variety of pastimes including fishing and hunting. His “hunting expeditions included looking for golf balls and catching bullfrogs, barehanded.

He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers, and one sister.
Visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, August 12, 2015, at Mowery Funeral Service in Owasso. Funeral service will be held 10:00 a.m. Thursday, August 13, 2015, at the First Christian Church in Owasso with Reverend Ben Killion officiating. Serving as casket bearers will be Larry Nunley, Gary Nunley, Troy Knight, Jeff Knight, Rex Bowers, and Taj Alcozer. Final resting place will be at Graceland Memorial Park Cemetery in Owasso. Arrangements and services were entrusted to Mowery Funeral Service of Owasso.
