08/22/2018 – Owasso Police are giving a big thank you to the Cherokee Nation Tribal Councilman Buel Anglen, who presented a $5000 check to the Owasso Police Department on behalf of the Cherokee Nation.
Officer Josh Pappalardo and Deputy Chief Jason Woodruff were on hand to personally thank Councilman Anglen and accept the donation for OPD on July 25th.
The donation was formally accepted by the Owasso City Council at last night’s council meeting.
Donations from the Cherokee Nation to local law enforcement agencies can go a long way toward the agencies’ ability to purchase needed equipment that otherwise might not be possible within their normal budgeting process.
