Chlorise Mamie Ketter, resident of Owasso passed away Friday, April 1, 2016 at the age of 91 years. Chlorise was born October 3, 1924 in Ionia County, Michigan to Paul and Lucy (Legarie) Sherman. She was raised and received her education in Saginaw, MI. On February 28, 1946, Chlorise and Andrew Emil Ketter were united in marriage. To this union, seven children were born. They made their home in Michigan before moving to Paris, Arkansas and later Muskogee and Lawton, OK. She, Andrew and the family eventually moved to Tulsa where she worked as a sales associate for Renberg’s Clothing Store. Chlorise and Andrew later made their home in Owasso. He preceded her in death on June 22, 2004. Chlorise was a member of St. Henry Catholic Church and enjoyed reading and watching travel and British comedies on television.
Those that survive include her children – Elon Andrew Ketter of Tulsa, Ron Ketter and wife Karen of Owasso, Frank Ketter of Owasso, Tom Ketter and wife Debby of Claremore, John Ketter and wife Norma of Inola and Annette Buller and Mike Ketter, both of Owasso; 10 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren. Besides her husband, Chlorise was preceded in death by her parents, four brothers, one sister and a granddaughter.
