Owasso – April 29, 2014: The City of Owasso has decided to ask the Supreme Court of Oklahoma to hear the matter pertaining to Owasso Police Department Officer Michael Denton and reinstate the trial court’s decision.
Earlier this month, the Oklahoma Court of Civil Appeals reversed a lower court’s ruling and ordered the City of Owasso to reinstate OPD Officer Denton. Denton was fired for using excessive force during an arrest in June 2011.
No further comments will be made at this time.
