Curtis Duane McElroy was born on October 21, 1947, in Tulsa, Oklahoma to Curtis Blane McElroy and Velma Elizabeth (Clark) McElroy. He passed from this life on Monday, August 8, 2022, at the age of 74 years. Curtis was raised and educated in Tulsa, Oklahoma where he attended McLain High School. After high school he enlisted and served his country honorably in the United States Army. Curtis was married on September 8, 1972, in Miami, Oklahoma to Carol Jean (Knight) McElroy. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge in Tulsa. In his spare time, Curtis enjoyed looking up articles and spending time on his computer.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Curtis and Velma, brother, Jimmy, sister, June, and two sons, Robby and Tom.
Visitation will be held 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, August 16, 2022, at Mowery Funeral Service in Owasso. Funeral service will be held 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, August 17, 2022, at the Mowery Funeral Service Chapel with Pastors Jeff Gaunt and Tim Watkins officiating. Interment will follow at Graceland Memorial Park Cemetery in Owasso. Services and arrangements were entrusted to Mowery Funeral Service in Owasso.
