David Kent Conner was born August 27, 1958, in San Angelo, Texas, to Charles Ray Conner and Lela Fern Keeling. He died Tuesday, January 28, 2025, in Tulsa, Oklahoma, at the age of 66 years. Kent completed his secondary education in San Angelo where he was a graduate of Lakeview High School. He was married May 21, 1983, in San Angelo to Genia Guelker. Kent was a strong man of faith and was a member of First Baptist Church in Owasso where he served in the Kids’ Ministry as the knuckles/high five greeter. He enjoyed a variety of pastimes, especially spending time on the golf course with his “golfing buddies”. He also enjoyed spending time manicuring his yard. As the PSO company liaison with the City of Oologah, Kent worked closely with the Chamber of Commerce, serving as president and receiving the Community Spirit Award in 2017. Kent adored his grandchildren who affectionately knew him as “Poppy” and will always be remembered for his dad jokes.
