DeLois Ann Ramey was born September 24, 1934, in Batesville, Arkansas to Fred Isaac Bruce and Ethyl Eloise (Morgan) Bruce. She died Sunday, June 28, 2020, in Owasso, Oklahoma at the age of 85 years. DeLois was raised and educated in Batesville and graduated with the Batesville High School Class of 1952. She was married on December 31, 1954 in Batesville to Lawrence Grey Ramey. She spent most of her working life as a financial secretary with Hamilton Trucking Company for 12 years and as the co-owner of Ramey Testing Company in Owasso for 26 years with her husband, Lawrence. DeLois was a faithful member of Bethel Baptist Church in Owasso since 1968 and was widely known as “Grandma Dee” after serving in the church nursery for over 40 years. She enjoyed a variety of past times such as shopping, arts and crafts, traveling to Eureka Springs, Arkansas, bowling, and most of all she enjoyed spending time with her family. Visitation will be held 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, July 1, 2020 at Mowery Funeral Service in Owasso. Funeral Service will be held 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, July 2, 2020 at Bethel Baptist Church in Owasso with Joe Ramey officiating. Final Interment will be held at Fairview Cemetery in Owasso. In lieu of flowers the family request’s memorial donations be made in DeLois’ memory to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN 38105. If you would prefer flowers, the family requests orders be placed through Stems Floral Design, 1702 Utica Square, Tulsa, OK 74114. Arrangements and services were entrusted to Mowery Funeral Service of Owasso.
