Dennis Byrd, former Owasso resident and NFL player for the New York Jets died in a traffic accident in Rogers County yesterday. He was 50.
In the vehicle with him was his 10 week old black lab puppy. The dog was rescued from the wreck, but ran from the scene.The accident happened on Highway 88 near Lowery Road.
