Spread the love

Dighton Moore

Death is not an easy subject —many avoid it at all costs—especially the subject of planning for their own. But Ronnie Dighton, owner of Dighton-Moore Funeral Service in Owasso, has found it to be his calling. While that might sound strange to some, it’s the “people” aspect of the funeral business that he’s truly passion about. He began working in the funeral industry at 16 years old, washing cars and mowing grass, but his interest goes back even further.

“Ever since I was a little boy, I’ve had an interest in the funeral service,” he says. “I would go to a funeral with my grandmother and watch everything the funeral director would do to conduct a service. I just love people; God has blessed me with a servant’s heart.”

That’s why he is truly satisfied in his work when a widow, child, parent or other family member comes to him after a service and says, “Ronnie, you have made my husband’s death much easier,” or “You have treated me like a queen this week. I didn’t know funeral directors did all that.”

“If we can help a family create a celebration tailored to the life of their loved one—that at the end of the day with tears in their eyes they thank us and tell us what a beautiful service it was—that is the satisfaction we strive for here at Dighton-Moore Funeral Service, and that is what has made us successful here in Owasso this past year,” Dighton says.

“Our motto is ‘serving families like family,’ and that is exactly what we try to do.”

Open since February of 2014, Dighton-Moore Funeral Service ensures that families receive more than simply a funeral, but, as their name implies, a “service.”

“First of all, we highly respect the trust that families put in us to care for their loved one,” Dighton says. “We realize they didn’t HAVE to use us; they CHOSE to use us during one of the most difficult times of their lives. That is something I am committed to never forget. It’s not just ‘another funeral;’ it’s a family that we have been honored to serve. That is why ‘service’ is our driving force. Service is what we pride ourselves in. I tell my staff that anyone can provide a funeral, but not everyone provides ‘service.’”

Should you find your family in need of funeral arrangement, Dighton-Moore offers complete funeral services which include cremations, memorial services, pre-planned funeral arrangements and monuments. They also contract with several Native American tribes to offer burial services to their members. They accept all pre-Need insurance policies, which are transferrable to the funeral home of your choice. They are competitively priced, answer all after-hours call and do not use a third party removal service. With Dighton-Moore, you will receive a personal experience as you walk through the process of saying goodbye and honoring your loved one.
