Donald James LeMieux was born January 31, 1932, in Muskegon, Michigan, to Albert Edward LeMieux and Lucia Effie LeMieux. He died Thursday, March 2, 2023, in Owasso, Oklahoma, at the age of 91 years. Don completed his secondary education in Muskegon and was a graduate of Muskegon High School. He later attended the University of Minnesota. He earned his bachelor’s degree at Aquinas College in Grand Rapids, Michigan. Don was a veteran of the armed forces having served his country honorably with the United States Army during the Korean Conflict. He was married March 28, 1951, in Muskegon to Bertha Julia Feuerborn. They had made their home in Owasso since 1981. Don spent most of his professional career as an engineer and had worked with numerous companies including Brunswick, American Hoist, Bantam, WABCo, Crane Carrier, and Greyhound. He was a longtime faithful member of St. Henry’s Catholic Church in Owasso where he served as an ordained deacon. Don was also active with the Knight’s of Columbus, the Disabled American Veterans, the Veteran’s of Foreign Wars, JayCee’s, and the Society of Industrial Engineers. He enjoyed a variety of pastimes including bowling, and he was an avid Detroit Lions fan.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and a sister, Maxine Huber.
Rosary Prayer service will be held 6:00 p.m. Wednesday, March 8, 2023, at St. Henry’s Catholic Church in Owasso. Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10:00 a.m. Thursday, March 9, 2023, at St. Henry’s Catholic Church with The Most Reverend David Konderla and Father Matt LaChance officiating. Final resting place will be at St. Mary’s Cemetery in Muskegon, Michigan.
