Donna Jean “Pookie” McGhee was born on May 27, 1951, in England, Arkansas to Thomas Marion “Papaw” Damon and Ellen Lavell “Mamaw” Damon. She passed from this life on Wednesday, September 15, 2021, in Tulsa, Oklahoma at the age of 70 years. Pookie was educated in Stuttgart, Arkansas and graduated with the Stuttgart High School Class of 1969. She then went on to earn her associate degree as a Registered Nurse from Phillips County Community College in 1989. She spent most of her working life as a Registered Nurse and had most recently been working with Brookdale Home Health Care. Pookie enjoyed a variety of past times such as interior decorating, praying, and shopping at flea markets, but most of all she loved spending time with her family and especially her grandchildren.
