Doyle Gene Goins was born April 14, 1949 in Poteau, Oklahoma to Clyde Carlton Goins and Lucille Beatrice (McKenzie) Whitaker. He passed from this life Friday, March 30, 2018, in Tulsa, Oklahoma at the age of 68 years. Doyle was raised and educated in Tulsa, Oklahoma and graduated with the Will Rogers High School Class of 1968. He was married October 22, 1976, to Susan Lynn Berry. He spent most of his working life as a superintendent for Oklahoma Natural Gas. Doyle was an avid OU fan and enjoyed a variety of pastimes such as coaching the boys when they were little, fishing, gardening, and Monday morning coffee with the retirees at the café in Tulsa. Visitation will be held from 4 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Monday, April 2, 2018 at Mowery Funeral Service. Funeral service will be held 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, April 3, 2018 at the Mowery Funeral Service Chapel with Reverend Leonard Pirtle officiating. Interment and graveside service will follow at Ridgelawn Cemetery in Collinsville, Oklahoma. Arrangements and services were entrusted to Mowery Funeral Service.
