Doyle Lee Davis was born May 2, 1937, in Bokchito, Oklahoma, to Troy Wilburn and Gladys Alma Dawson Davis. He died Saturday, December 23, 2017, in Sperry, Oklahoma, at the age of 80 years. Doyle was reared and educated in Wichita Falls, Texas, and was a graduate of Wichita Falls High School. He was married May 21, 1963 in Atoka, Oklahoma, to Needa Bagby. They made their home in Tulsa, Oklahoma, in 1964, then moved to Sperry, Oklahoma, in 1978 and have lived there since that time. Doyle spent most of his working life with Yellow Freight Trucking in Tulsa as a dispatcher and dock supervisor. He enjoyed a variety of pastimes, mostly anything that involved being outdoors. He enjoyed spending time on the water fishing and playing golf with family and friends. He had also taken up beekeeping and owned his own bee hive. Doyle was also an avid sports fan following his Oklahoma Sooners, Dallas Cowboys, and his Texas Rangers.

Son and daughter-in-law; Kelly and Shana Davis, of Owasso
Five Grandchildren; Lacie Hendrix, Lynsi Sadler and husband Aaron, Logan Hendrix and wife Hayle Alex Davis, and Anistyn Davis
Three great grandchildren; Carson Hendrix, Kinlee Roberts, Grayson Sadler,
and a baby Hendrix on the way.
Three brothers;
Kenneth Davis and wife Vona, Billy Davis, and Joe Davis and wife Kay
Sister; Virginia Snow and numerous nieces, nephews, and other family members.
He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother, James Davis, two sisters-in-law, Wanda Davis and Sylvia Davis and one brother-in-law, James Snow.
Visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, December 26, 2017, at Mowery Funeral Service in Owasso. Funeral service will be held 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, December 27, 2017, at the Mowery Funeral Service Chapel in Owasso with Pastor Scott Carlson officiating. Committal service and interment will follow at Graceland Memorial Park Cemetery in Owasso. Arrangements and services were entrusted to Mowery Funeral Service.
