Congratulations to our very own Dr. Ogilvie! Dr. Clark Ogilvie, Superintendent of Owasso Public  Schools, has been named the 2015 District #5 Superintendent of the Year by the Oklahoma Association of School Administrators (OASA).
 
 
Dr. Ogilvie is one of twenty superintendents selected by his peers for this award from across the state. These administrators, and the District Assistant Superintendent/Central Office Administrator finalists, will be honored by colleagues at the OASA awards banquet on Wednesday, June 10 on the eve of the annual Cooperative Council for Oklahoma School Administration (CCOSA) Summer Conference. The conference will be held June 11-12 at the Embassy Suites Hotel and Convention Center in Norman.
 
 
“We congratulate Superintendent Ogilvie for being selected by his colleagues for his leadership, service, and accomplishments in education,” Steven Crawford, Executive Director of OASA stated. “These administrators are chosen for their significant accomplishments in education, involvement in professional activities, and active role in their communities,” Crawford added.
 
 
Dr. Ogilvie has served as Owasso’s Superintendent since 2004. Under his leadership the district has passed six bond issues, built two state of the art elementary sites and remodeled/renovated 12 sites. He led the district in three successful redistricting efforts and two successful six-year strategic plans. The district implemented a Chinese language program, pre-engineering program with Tulsa Technology Center, and a virtual high school with TTC under his direction, along with developing a full-day kindergarten program and district run four-year old program. Owasso Public Schools has achieved Academic Achievement Awards from the State Department of Education 10 times during his tenure.
 
 
Superintendent Ogilvie served as the President of OASA in 2013-14 and President of the United Suburban Schools Association (USSA) from 2007-2008.
 
 
The Oklahoma Association of School Administrators is under the umbrella of the Cooperative Council for Oklahoma School Administration. CCOSA is an incorporated, non-profit organization serving over 2800 superintendents, assistant superintendents, principals, special education directors and central office administrators.
