Strong winds caused minor damage in parts of Owasso and Collinsville Thursday morning. High winds began hitting the area around 2:30am, knocking out electric service to many in the area. Owasso Fire responded to numberous call of power lines snapping or sparking.
at 7:00am PSO was reporting approximatley 300 customers without power in the area of Mingo between 116th and 126th Streets North.
Traffic signals on 116th Street North near Reasors were swirled around their wires, causing Owasso Public Works to place four way stops in that area.
Winds were clocked at up to 55mph.
