Ernest Kent Poulson, resident of Owasso, passed from this life on Tuesday, August 05, 2014 at the age of 80 years. Ernest was born September 15, 1933 in Crocker, MO to Guy Ernest and Jessie Ann Louise (Ledbetter) Poulson. He was raised and received his education in Keiser, Arkansas, graduating high school there. Ernest enlisted in the US Navy where he was an MP and served on the USS Lexington during the Korean War. Following his discharge, Ernest returned to Jonesboro, AR. He later went to work as a photographer for the Dept. of Defense with the US Army, retiring in 1997. During this time, he resided in Licking, MO. Ernest was an avid hunter and fisherman; and had taught Sunday school at the Pentecostal Holiness Church in Licking. He has made his home in Owasso since 2005. Those that survive and hold many cherished memories are his children – Pat Gambill and wife Patty of Edgar Springs, MO, Pam Wells of Ellington, MO, Peter Poulson and wife Trudy of Owasso, OK, Preita Poulson also of Owasso, Paige Wiseman and husband Rick of Licking, MO and Pandee Goodson and husband Matt of Licking. Also surviving are 16 grandchildren and 26 great grandchildren. Ernest was preceded in death by his parents and a brother Ronald Poulson. Private graveside services will be held by the family in the Crocker Cemetery, Crocker, MO at a later date.
