Evelyn Marie Weathers was born November 9, 1925, in Henryetta, Oklahoma, to Joseph Claud Sutton and Nola Etta (Johnson) Sutton. She died Wednesday, December 16, 2020, in Claremore, Oklahoma, at the age of 95 years. Evelyn was raised and educated in Skiatook, Oklahoma where she graduated with the Skiatook High School Class of 1944. She was married on March 10, 1946, in Winfield, Kansas to Roy Weathers. Evelyn spent most of her working life as a Meat Wrapper with Safeway in Northeastern Oklahoma for 25 years. She was a faithful member of Rejoice Free Will Baptist Church in Owasso for over 20 years. She enjoyed a variety of past times such as working in her yard and planting flowers, playing Bingo, and collecting stuffed animals.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Nola, husband, Roy, brother, Marvin, two sisters, Ruth and Audrey, and her son, Ronnie.
Visitation will be held from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. Sunday, December 20, 2020, at Mowery Funeral Service in Owasso. Graveside service will be held 10:30 a.m. Monday, December 21, 2020, at Resthaven Cemetery in Sperry, Oklahoma with Pastor Leonard Pirtle officiating. Arrangements and services were entrusted to Mowery Funeral Service of Owasso.
